Jean Barrett
This month our keynote speaker is Jean Barrett, former (NFL) San Francisco 49er & owner of Financial Capital Advisors
He attended the University of Tulsa on a Football Scholarship where he was a 3 year starter at Left Offensive Tackle earning All Missouri Valley Conference honors. In January of 1972 Jean surrendered his life to Christ and was baptized at the First Baptist Church of Van Buren Arkansas.
In May of 1972 Jean graduated with a Business Marketing degree, was drafted in the second round by the San Francisco 49ers and was selected to play in the College All Star Game against his home town team the Dallas Cowboys
.Jean played 9 years for San Francisco, retiring in May of 1981 when he began a 35 year career in Athletic Apparel Manufacturing which included ownership of 3 sewing factories in Tennessee and then 2 factories in Mexico.
He retired from the Apparel Industry in 2014. Jean owns Financial Capital Advisors which does Business Development for several Community Banks including Regent Bank and First Oklahoma Bank.
Jean has supported and volunteered with the Oklahoma Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes since his playing days and continues to serve on the board of directors for FCA Oklahoma and FCA Northeast Oklahoma.
